Unsweetened

"They" say that pink is uplifting, relaxing and makes your skin look beautiful,

which is supposedly why Monsieur César Ritz chose the peachy pink towels, instead of white, for the bathrooms at the Hotel Ritz in Paris.

and why the tearoom at the Ritz Hotel in London is famously pink.

Dom Perignon rosé is one of the most expensive champagnes in the world.  Reportedly, Champagne vintners prefer to keep production low to enhance the demand.

Last year, Sotheby's made auction history by selling a 24.78-carat pink diamond for a record $46.1 million dollars.  It was a world record price for any jewel at auction.

Expert entertainers often recommend changing light bulbs to face-flattering pink for a party.

Martha Stewart used pink for the walls of her guest house.  Color theorists say pink is calming.  A calm guest is a good guest...

Men and women alike are inexplicably drawn to pink, so it is an artist's secret weapon.

Add a little pink to a painting and people will pause.....hmmm...

The trick with pink is to keep it from getting sweet.

Adding a little taupe,

lots of white,

or some grey or black, can change the whole character from darling to daring.

Designers have always derived inspiration from the striking pinks in nature

Azure

Blue and White makes me feel happy, refreshed and relaxed.  No matter how often I see it, I never get tired of it.

Light Blues...

Medium blues...

Dark blues...

Mixed blues...

A lot of white and just a smidge of blue...

Or a lot of blue and a little white...
