Here Comes the Sun

Gertrude Jekyll once called a garden "a grand teacher."  It teaches patience, careful watchfulness, industry and thrift, and above all, she said, it teaches trust.  Poplar Grove is once again fulfilling the ancient promise of the seasons and waking from its wintery slumber.  The camelias, Okame cherry trees, and daffodils are the first brave bloomers.

Jennings snapped these pictures this weekend.  Right now, it's snowing!

Are your daffodils blooming?  Are you getting that itch to get back into the garden?

Such a beautiful time of year. Hard to believe that it snowed later! The best of both worlds.
Happy Monday.

Glorious to see daffodils and cherry blossoms!
Does it feel like spring is pushing it this year?
It certainly does here in Boston.

Cheers,
John

John, I'm not sure we even had a proper winter. In some ways it feels like we've had a version of spring since November!
