a 28-foot labrador retriever lifting his leg on the Orange County Museum of Art?
Okay, so this is a little outside the usual Jennings & Gates scope, but it made me laugh this morning. (And it might strike a note with Jennings too, as Mr. Darcy is showing a slight resistance to house-training.)
As you can imagine, this was a resounding hit with kids.
It might be a commentary on the nutty nature of dogs, or the architecture of the building, which apparently is not well-liked, or it might have something to do with the Richard Jackson retrospective that was being shown at the same time. In any case, the museum board obviously had an open mind and a sense of humor. The sculpture is by artist Richard Jackson, and is appropriately titled, "Bad Dog." Read more here.

This made me laugh! oh, how I can relate!! Also, your comment about mr. Darcy resisting house training. Good luck with that! I have two male cavs. one looks identical to mr. darcy. Love em, but one was called the hiker at puppy school. They are seven and we still have issues! . They are way cool for the outdoor potties! Again, good luck! patty
I live only about 6 miles from this museum, I haven't seen this yet. It's definitely appropriate to the lack of imagination where the architecture of the building is concerned (in my humble opinion). The museum is in a great location, only a mile from the bay, cool ocean breezes most of the time. Thanks for sharing.
I wish Jennings luck with his puppy. It took our Jack Russel/Border Terrier mix 1 year to finally catch on.

I love how it plays with the scale of the wall. Very fun.
Somewhere I have a picture of a small topiary in London. It's of a dog lifting its leg. Pretty funny.
they are nice animals.......they are just not "dogs"! They just are not.
My favorite part.....(and I do not recommend it in the dog world) He has his "balls"!!!
This may be my fave museum thing in my whole, very long life! I will go see it!!
