Presenting...Mr. Darcy

Mr. Darcy's tail

"Sit, Mr. Darcy."

"Stay."

"Or... not."

The Place Where Mr. Darcy Was Just a Second Ago

"He was just here a second ago."

Three-quarters of Mr. Darcy and Three-quarters of Jennings' shoe

"Oh, almost!"

"Try putting him in the foliage?"

Mr. Darcy's tail and rear end

"That didn't slow him down much."

Mr. Darcy attacking Jennings' shoelace

"Wow, I forgot how sharp puppy teeth are."

"Maybe I'll just pick him up."

"Perfect."

Presenting Mr. Darcy, Jennings' new puppy.  He is a very energetic 10-week old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.  His color is called Blenheim, after the 1st Duke of Marlborough, who kept red and white King Charles type spaniels for hunting.  Winston is reserving judgement, but hopefully they will be great friends!

Favorite Puppy and Dog Be-friending books:

The Monks of New Skete have been breeding, raising, and training German Shepherds for more than thirty years at their Cambridge, New York, monastery. Their perennial bestseller, How to Be Your Dog’s Best Friend, is considered a classic in the dog-training field. First published in 1978, and completely revised and updated in 2002, the book has brought the Monks international acclaim for their successful mixture of discipline and love. Their second book, The Art of Raising a Puppy, was also a bestseller. Together, the two titles have sold close to one million copies.

Just kill me now! Omg Mr Darcy is so incredibly adorable, cute...and I'm sure he has that wonderful puppy breath.
Puppies do have wickedly sharp little teeth!
But the adorable factor negates all the puppy things like razor sharp teeth and accidents.
love him!

All I can say Mr. Darcy is absolutely adorable! I am very jealous... I love dogs and have a West Highland terrier who is such a joy. You will have so much fun this summer and Winston will grow to love him too.
Love the pictures....

What a great name for such a darling puppy. My neighbor breeds and shows Cavalier Spaniels. They are wonderful pets. What fun you will have. Love the name.

I am interested to know who won the battle between Mr. Darcy and the shoelace. And I really hope that Mr. Darcy settles in well and makes friends. He is absolutely adorable. I hope that everyone can keep up with boundless energy, maybe one day he will slow down enough to pose for a picture.
